K11 Series Manual Welding Chuck Features

3-Jaw Self-Centering Design

Three jaws move simultaneously through the scroll mechanism, allowing round workpieces to be centered automatically during clamping.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The K11 Series is designed for applications requiring high rigidity and strong workholding capability.

High Clamping Force

Depending on the model, maximum specified clamping force ranges from 60 kN to 120 kN.

Large Through-Hole

The large center opening provides clearance for pipes, shafts, cylinders and other round workpieces.

High Self-Centering Accuracy

The synchronized three-jaw mechanism helps reduce manual alignment and improves setup efficiency.

Custom Options

The standard K11 product is supplied as a 3-jaw self-centering chuck.

For special applications, non-standard chuck configurations may be available upon request, including customized jaw lengths and alternative multi-jaw designs.

Positive Jaw & Reverse Jaw Clamping

Positive Jaw Clamping

Positive jaws are used for the normal internal clamping range of each K11 model.

For example:

  • K11 1000
    Positive Jaw Range: Ø200–1000 mm
  • K11 1500
    Positive Jaw Range: Ø400–1500 mm

Reverse Jaw Clamping

Reverse jaws can be used when a different or larger clamping diameter is required.

For example:

  • K11 1200
    Reverse Jaw Range: Ø400–1200 mm

The available range varies by model, so the workpiece diameter and jaw arrangement should be confirmed before selection.

Typical Applications

Welding Positioners

K11 chucks can be used as heavy-duty workholding devices on suitable welding positioners.

Pipe & Cylinder Welding

The large through-hole and strong clamping capacity make the series suitable for pipes and cylindrical workpieces.

Heavy Fabrication

The high rigidity and clamping force make K11 chucks suitable for larger fabricated components and demanding workholding applications.

CNC & Machining Equipment

The product catalogue also lists applications on:

  • Machining centers
  • Lathes
  • Milling machines
  • CNC drilling machines
  • Welding equipment
  • Cutting equipment

This makes the K11 Series more versatile than a welding-only chuck.

How to Select a K11 Welding Chuck

1. Workpiece Diameter

Determine the minimum and maximum diameter of the workpiece.

2. Required Clamping Force

Choose the model according to the required holding force.

K11 models provide up to 120 kN maximum specified clamping force.

3. Workpiece Geometry

Consider whether the workpiece is a pipe, cylinder, shaft, flange or another circular component.

4. Jaw Configuration

Determine whether standard 3-jaw, 4-jaw, 6-jaw, 8-jaw or a custom arrangement is required.

5. Equipment Interface

Check D, D1, D2, D3 and mounting-hole dimensions against the welding positioner, rotary table or machine tool.

6. Operating Condition

For heavy workpieces, consider clamping position, workpiece length and center of gravity before final selection.
